The Geochemical Society is in the process of co-hosting Goldschmidt 2016, one of the largest meetings on geochemistry in Yokohama, Japan. Already the news media are picking up stories from the presented research on topics like the global helium budget, diamonds, radioactive fallout from Fukushima. Additionally, the Deep Carbon Observatory has found a novel to highlight their research by creating a Storify (a fun watch). As always, searching social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram using the official hashtag (#Goldschmidt2016) allows for snapshots of what it's like to be at the meeting.
