The American Geophysical Union (AGU) publication EOS published "AGU-Sponsored Workshop Targets Sexual Harassment in the Sciences" an article summarizing highlights from their workshop held September 9^th, 2016 at their headquarters. The article covers the history of sexual harassment in the sciences, and notes that fieldwork tends to exacerbate harassment problems. 

 

They also discussed the challenge of the "celebrity scientist" but also outlined possible steps that could be taken by universities and employers to mitigate these issues in the future. The article notes that guiding principles to help scientific societies, academic institutions and other organizations improve workplace climate is anticipated by the end of 2016.
