The Seismological Society of America and the Latin American and Caribbean Seismological Commission have put out a call for sessions for the 2018 "Seismology of the Americas" Meeting. Topics of interest may include, but are not limited to: recent major earthquakes; earthquake early warning systems; seismotectonics; paleoseismology; citizen seismology; urban earthquake hazards; physics of seismic sources; CTBT and nuclear monitoring issues; tsunamis; induced seismology; paleoseismology studies; geoacoustics; earthquake risk and advances in array seismology. The deadline to submit a session is October 2, 2017. The meeting is scheduled for April 23-26, 2018 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
