Geoscience organizations continue to respond to President Trump's proposed budget for the federal government. The American Geosciences Institute (AGI) released its budget analysis as part of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Federal R&D and Policy Project website. The AGI website provides an overview of the appropriations process, and the AAAS website tracks agency budgets as they move through committee towards approval by Congress. The American Geophysical Union published an overview in EOS, and the Geological Society of America tweeted a letter that was sent to Congress on May 24th extolling the benefits of US research, signed by dozes of science organizations and universities, including seven AGI member organizations.
