If you weren't able to make it to Goldschmidt 2016, fear not. A summary report of Goldschmidt 2016 was published in Elements Magazine. The report provides overview the number of attendees and which countries they represented as well as summaries of different student programs hosted at the meeting, for instance, the "Meet the Plenary" luncheons. These were held immediately following the Plenary Lectures and gave student participants the opportunity to meet the these accomplished scientists in a more informal setting. Most of the plenary lectures are also available on the Goldschmidt Conference YouTube Channel.  This was the first year the Geochemical Society hosted a special lecture in biogeochemistry and, for the first time, they held their Ingerson Lecture at Goldschmidt. The different news outlets that picked up research from the meeting were also mentioned, and some were referenced in a previous Geotimes Blog post. The next Goldschmidt Conference will be held in Paris, France.
