The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) published an article tracking cases on issues related to quantity of water and land use. Initially this was an issue faced by well owners in western states, but these cases are now appearing in the eastern U.S. as well. The International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) announced that Ian Davey joined IAH Executive Manager on April 1, 2017 following John Chilton's retirement in December 2016. Davey is a hydrogeologist with over 30 years’ experience, much of it working for the Environment Agency in England.

#16: Sven Treitel - Geophysical Signal Processing

Sven Treitel discusses his signal processing course, the historical transition from analog to digital, and his decades-long collaboration with Enders Robinson. Sven Treitel, along with Enders Robinson, was instrumental in the transition of exploration geophysics from analog to digital recording and data processing. Sven has published over 40 papers and has received numerous Society awards, including SEG's Reginald Fessenden award and Honorary Membership.
