The International Association for Geoscience Diversity Joins the AGI Federation

The International Association for Geoscience Diversity (IAGD) has joined the American Geosciences Institute (AGI) as an International Associate. The IAGD's admission to the AGI Federation was formally approved by the AGI Executive Committee earlier this year.

Canadian Federation of Earth Sciences (CFES) to Become AGI's Third International Associate

The American Geosciences Institute (AGI) welcomes the Canadian Federation of Earth Sciences (CFES) as the third member of the International Associates Program. Established in 2010, AGI's International Associates (IA) Program provides professional geoscience organizations based outside of the United States with a way to develop a formal collaborative and informational relationship with the Institute.

AGI Hosts Expanded Access to the 2009 YES Congress

The American Geological Institute (AGI) successfully hosted the virtual component of the first Young Earth-Scientist (YES) Congress held in Beijing, China October 25-28 in an effort to expand the opportunity for participation to young scientists from around the world. Over 200 individuals from 31 countries took advantage of this unique opportunity to participate, even without attending in person in Beijing.
