Former Executive Secretary of the Geological Society of London, Edmund Nickless was recognized for his extraordinary service to the United Kingdom in the New Year's Honor's List from the Queen. Nickless was recognized as an MBE, or a Member of the Order of the British Empire which is awarded for an outstanding achievement or service to the community.
