ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Recognizing exceptional long-term service to the American Geosciences Institute (AGI), two outstanding individuals are named as 2024 William B. Heroy Jr. Award for Distinguished Service to AGI recipients: David Curtiss of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and Susan Sullivan of the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES), University of Colorado, Boulder.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The American Geosciences Institute (AGI) is pleased to announce that the theme of Earth Science Week 2024 will be "Earth Science Everywhere." The event, to be held October 13-19, 2024, will explore the many ways that earth science is conducted — by various types of people and professions in interconnected disciplines — to help solve problems for communities and the planet.

Roy Jr. Award for Excellence in K-8 Earth Science Teaching. The award is given in honor of Dr. Edward C. Roy Jr., a strong and dedicated supporter of Earth science education.

AGI Welcomes 2024 Board of Directors
