The American Geosciences Institute in collaboration with the Geoscience Energy Briefing Consortium announces the debut event of the Energy from the Earth: Practical Geoscience to Inform Energy Legislation briefing series.
The Executive Committee of the American Geosciences Institute (AGI) is proud to announce that Dr. Peter Scholle has been awarded the AGI Medal in memory of Ian Campbell honoring his contributions to the geoscientific community.
The American Association of Petroleum Geologists' (AAPG) Foundation’s National Earth Science Teacher of the Year Award program, initiated in 1996, exists to recognize teachers who go beyond the textbook to incorporate applied geology into their lesson plans and "bring students an appreciation of how one field of science touches their everyday life." In support of this program, AGI provides each teacher an Earth Science Week kit and a copy of an AGI publication.
