The American Geosciences Institute (AGI) has published a consensus document which outlines strategies for identifying and addressing issues of workplace harassment in the geosciences. An ad hoc committee consisting of representatives from ten geoscience associations or institutions from across industry and academia was convened by AGI to examine the topic of harassment. This same committee ultimately drafted the consensus document, which was formally approved by the AGI Executive Committee on April 9, 2018.
Western Water Assessment (WWA) has joined the American Geosciences Institute (AGI) as a Regional Associate. The admission of WWA to the AGI Federation was formally approved by the AGI Executive Committee and made effective on March 19, 2018.
August 1st is approaching and that means submitting your abstract for #GSA2017, and another opportunity to share your science in Seattle! In addition to the Geological Society of America (GSA) and its Divisions sponsoring sessions, AGI Member Organizations are hosting dozens of sessions as well. The number of co-sponsored sessions underscores how much synergy exists between the different communities that make up AGI.
