The American Association of Geographers published the annual update to the Guide to Geography Programs in the Americas which covers the degree requirements, curricula, faculty qualifications, program specialties, financial assistance, and degrees completed, and more for undergraduate and masters programs in the United States, Canada and Latin America.
Tomorrow, the American Association of Geographers (AAG) will be hosting their next #AAGChat on Twitter to answer questions on careers in geography. From 3:00-4:00 pm EST on Thursday, January 12th, AAG will be answering questions through their twitter account @theAAG. The chat will address the many diverse career opportunities for geographers in a variety of industries and employment sectors and how geography students, graduates and early-career professionals can identify appropriate job openings.
The American Association of Geographers (AAG) kicked off its annual elections today; online voting will continue until February 2. The current Vice President, Derek H. Alderman (University of Tennessee), is running unopposed and will become the 2017 AAG President.
The American Association of Geographers (AAG) announced a call for paper presentations and panel sessions on the 2016 elections. They are especially interested in research, analysis, discussion and dialogue for late-breaking sessions for the AAG Annual Meeting, that will be held in Boston in April 2017. The deadline to submit is November 29, 2016.
