The Environmental Protection Agency has released a white paper on revisions to the Federal Lead and Copper Rule. The revisions will be guided by seven key principles that focus on minimizing exposure to lead in drinking water, create clear and enforceable requirements, increase transparency, a rule that advocates for environmental justice and children's heath and integrate drinking water-related issues with other cross-media lead reduction efforts like those in paint, soil, and dust among others.
