Following data collection from the Geoscience Student Exit Survey, the AGI Workforce Program released Currents #118. In it, researchers ask if geoscience students recognize the value of internships to their career.

In last week's Geoscience Currents #117, AGI's Workforce Program examines latest in enrollments and degrees granted in geoscience programs in the United States. In 2015-2016 undergraduate enrollments slipped about 5%, while graduate enrollments dipped slightly, meanwhile bachelor's and doctoral degrees rebounded, and master's degrees dropped.

In December, the AGI Workforce Program published Geoscience Currents #115 - "State Geological Survey Publications: Reaching Beyond State Boundaries." Many publications from state geological surveys are featured in the Critical Issues Research Database, which is maintained by AGI's Critical Issues Program.

The American Geosciences Institute Workforce Program published Geoscience Currents #112 and #113. Currents #112 looked at the median salaries for geoscience-related occupations in 2015.
