ALEXANDRIA, Va. (June 29, 2019) - What do geoscientists earn? Where do they work? What critical issues do they work to address? Find out with Geoscience Currents, a free online information channel, relaunched this week by the American Geosciences Institute (AGI) with expanded coverage of research and issues facing geoscience professionals today.

AGI Launches Marcus Milling Legacy Campaign

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (June 26, 2019) - The American Geosciences Institute (AGI) is raising awareness and funds to permanently recognize Dr. Marcus Milling's contributions to the geosciences with a curated, named art collection held by AGI in his honor. The goal of the Marcus Milling Legacy Campaign is to raise a minimum of $50,000. Dr. Milling was an ardent and tireless champion of geoscience education, policy, and information services during the time he served as AGI's executive director from 1992 until 2006, when he transitioned to a senior advisor role.

Shenandoah National Park and AGI Team Up to Create Air Quality Interactive

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (May 1, 2019) - Clean air is vitally important for Shenandoah National Park -- and now you can learn more about its connection to the park through an interactive "Virtual Field Trip" launched this week by the National Park Service in partnership with the American Geosciences Institute (AGI). AGI's EARTH Magazine Continues Mission in Nautilus

AGI has arranged to have the scope and mission of EARTH live on with Nautilus, a growing, modern science magazine that is deeply respected for its objective, unbiased, high-quality science journalism. Raleigh Martin Named 2019-2020 AGI Fisher Congressional Fellow

The American Geosciences Institute (AGI) congratulates Raleigh Martin on his selection as the 2019-2020 William L. Fisher Congressional Geoscience Fellow. The Fisher Fellowship offers geoscientists the unique opportunity to spend a year in Washington, D.C., working as a staff member in the office of a member of Congress or with a congressional committee.
