DOI- The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) is extending their comment period in regards to the preparation of a new Oil and Gas Leasing Program for 2017-2022 from July 31, 2014 to August 15, 2014. [Friday, August 1 2014 (Volume 79, Number 148)]

DOC- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Advisory Committee on Earthquake Hazards Reduction is holding an open meeting on August 18 and 19 at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in Golden, Colorado. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the priorities of the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP) for optimal partnerships, review recent activities, and gather information for the Committee's 2015 Report on the Effectiveness of the NEHRP. Time will be reserved at the end of the meeting on August 19 for public comments. NIST is also accepting written comments. [Friday, August 1 2014 (Volume 79, Number 148)]

DOI-  The U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Arizona Resource Advisory Council (RAC) will meet in Phoenix, Arizona.  The meeting will take place September 10, 2014, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. [Wednesday, August 6 2014 (Volume 79, Number 151)]

EPA-  The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is planning to submit an information collection request, ‘‘Underground Injection Control Program’.”  The Underground Injection Control (UIC) program under The Safe Drinking Water Act established a Federal and State regulatory system to protect underground sources of drinking water (USDWs) from contamination by injected fluids. Comments must be submitted on or before October 7, 2014. [Friday, August 8 2014 (Volume 79, Number 153)]

NSF- The National Science Foundation Advisory Committee for Environmental Research and Education is holding an open meeting on September 23, 2014, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and September 24, 2014, 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the NSF headquarters at 4201 Wilson Blvd., Stafford I, Rm. 1235, Arlington, Virginia 22230. The meeting is being held to provide advice, recommendations, and oversight concerning support for environmental research and education. [Tuesday, August 12 2014 (Volume 79, Number 155)]

DOE- At the direction of the President, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), as the Secretariat for the Quadrennial Energy Review (QER) Task Force has convened public meetings to discuss and receive comments on issues related to the Quadrennial Energy Review this year. The deadline for written public comments for the QER Report is October 10, 2014. [Monday, August 25 2014 (Volume 79, Number 164)]

DOE- Commissioner Philip D. Moeller will convene a meeting at The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) from 2:00 pm to 4:45 pm on Thursday, September 18, 2014 in the Commission Meeting Room at the agency’s headquarters at 888 First Street NE, Washington, DC. The purpose of the meeting is to provide a forum for interested parties to discuss ideas to facilitate and improve the way in which natural gas is traded, and explore the concept of establishing a centralized trading platform for natural gas. DOI- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Advisory Committee on Climate Change and Natural Resource Science is holding a meeting from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (PDT) on September 17, and 8:30 am to 4 pm (PDT) on September 18 at 911 Federal Building, 911 NE 11th Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97232, Floor B1, Conference Room C. The objective of this meeting are to provide input on the NCCWSC Science Plan and national science priorities, learn about the Northwest Climate Science Center’s science and stakeholder engagement efforts, and discuss the draft ACCCNRS recommendations and report to the Secretary of the Interior.
